Artist Statement

Emily Weiland (Chibitasm) is an independent artist from Salt Lake City, Utah. Being neurodivergent and concerned with texture, Emily is inspired to create cute artwork that combines her unique style with tactical objects that have textural intrigue. She has been attending and selling at conventions since 2014, building up a community around her artwork and chibi badges. With her wife, they have added almost 1300 characters from various media and turned them into keychains, stickers, and badges. Moving forward, Emily is focusing on adding new and original designs and products.
